IPL 2022: Was very nervous but didn't let it get the better of me, says Gujarat Titans' Yash Dayal

Gujarat Titans' (GT) 24-year-old left-arm pace bowler Yash Dayal has said that nervousness of playing his first Indian Premier League (IPL) game could have gotten the better of him on Thursday, but he was happy that he could complete the task assigned to him to the satisfaction of his skipper Hardik Pandya. Dayal emerged as the new bowling sensation in the IPL, taking 3/40 in his four overs as Rajasthan Royals (RR) were restricted to 155/9, falling short in the chase by 37 runs. The Titans had earlier made 192/4, thanks mainly to skipper Pandya's unbeaten 52-ball 87 and Abhinav Manohar's 28-ball 43. It was Gujarat's fourth win of the IPL 2022 season and they climbed to the top of the points table with eight points.

Tamil Nadu - IPL 2022: People will have plans against me, it's bound to happen, says KKR mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy on his quiet start to the season - timesofindia.indiatimes.com - India - Mumbai - Kolkata - Hyderabad

IPL 2022: People will have plans against me, it's bound to happen, says KKR mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy on his quiet start to the season

Varun Chakravarthy was the highest wicket-taker for Kolkata Knight Riders last season, claiming 18 wickets in 17 matches. KKR retained him for Rs 8 Crore ahead of the last player auction. But the mystery spinner from Tamil Nadu, who has the ability to bowl as many as seven different variations, has not really got going in the ongoing 15th edition of the Indian Premier League. He has played 5 matches in the tournament so far and managed to bag just 4 wickets. In the 20 overs he has bowled so far, he has given away 146 runs, at an economy rate of 7.30. With KKR, who are currently in second place on the points table, set to face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) later today at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, Varun though is not worried about the quiet start.

IPL 2022: Flawed strategy at auctions haunting Mumbai Indians

Franchise let go of impact bowlers like Boult and ChaharMUMBAI: Mumbai Indians' stunning no-show, which has seen them slide to five defeats in a row, their worst start in the IPL since 2014, has left fans stunned. However, those who followed their confused, flawed strategy at the auction table a couple of months back would not be surprised that MI are lying at the bottom of the 10-team table with zero points.

IPL 2022, KKR vs SRH: Kolkata Knight Riders look to halt Sunrisers Hyderabad's resurgence

Contrary to slam-bang cricket that is mostly associated with the shortest format of the game, SRH are mostly banking on partnerships to cross the line. They will again look for another good start from their skipper and Abhishek Sharma to score a hat-trick of wins when they meet Kolkata Knight Riders at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Friday.
