Suryakumar Yadav will be one of India's trump cards in the T20 World Cup in Australia. Just before he departed to Mohali to prepare for the T20 series against South Africa, the Mumbai Indians and India bat took time out to speak with TOI about the grammar of T20 batting, body language, innovation, the ideal batting number and tattoos. Excerpts:At what point in the bowler's run up and his approach to the wicket, do you decide I am going to scoop this or ramp this or flick it to mid-wicket?At the number which I bat, it allows me to watch all the bowlers and allows me to plan when I am sitting in the dugout. When I go inside, it's all about execution. I also watch the videos of the opposition bowlers a day before the game, and sleep over it and visualise how I am going to play.

The skillful Mohammad Shami has been kept on standby which has surprised a few experts of the game as Indian selectors kept faith on the quartet led by Jasprit Bumrah with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Harshal Patel and Arshdeep Singh in its ranks. Fans took to social media to vent their ire against Arshdeep, when he dropped the catch with Pakistan needing 34 runs to win in two overs. In the 18th over of the match, Asif Ali tried to sweep Ravi Bishnoi, only to edge the ball as the skier went towards Arshdeep at short third-man.
