Ad World Snooker and the WPBSA [World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association] announced on Wednesday they will trial the roll-out of their own bailout strategy that will guarantee all 130 players on the professional circuit a guaranteed minimum of £20,000 in earnings.
All 130 professional snooker players on the World Snooker Tour will be guaranteed minimum earnings of £20,000 for the 2022/23 season in a major £2.6m cash boost. An initial payment of £10,000 will be doled out this month with another £10,000 paid to the tour member in January.

Thai snooker player Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon has been charged with allegedly fixing the outcome of six matches and suspended from the sport. 28-year-old Tirapongpaiboon is cooperating with governing body the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) and faces a formal hearing with six matches under scrutiny between 2013 and 2015.
