Now, he has won the men's singles gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2022 with a tough win against Malaysia's NG Tze Yong on Monday. Sen fought with a lot of heart after losing the first game in the final to ultimately clinch the match 19-21, 21-19 and 21-16.
PV Sindhu won the gold medal in women's singles at Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham and with this completed a full cycle of singles medals at the event, having won a bronze in 2014 and a silver in 2018. Sindhu, a two-time Olympic medallist and a former world champion, spoke to NDTV after her win and said that she was really happy to have won the gold medal.
