'Some Commentators...': Pat Cummins' Blunt Take On Rumours Of Split In Australia Team

Australia skipper Pat Cummins on Thursday put an end to the disharmony rumours in his side and said that there's a great feeling around the team. The notion of divide within the Australia camp began when seasoned pacer Josh Hazlewood, on Day 3 of the Perth Test, said, "You probably have to ask one of the batters that question. I'm sort of relaxing and trying to get a bit of physio and a bit of treatment, and I'm probably looking mostly towards the next Test and what plans we can do against these batters." Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Cummins said that the team is looking great and some of the commentators got that 100 per cent wrong. He added that the team don't make too much of these rumours.

Sunil Gavaskar Tried To "Distract, Disrupt, Annoy": Ex-Australia Star Angry Over Comments On Josh Hazlewood

After India defeat Australia comprehensively in  the first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy in Pert, Pacer Josh Hazlewood made an interesting comment. When asked what the hosts could do to make a comeback in the five-match series, Hazlewood said: "You probably have to ask one of the batters that question... I'm probably looking mostly towards the next Test." The comment was picked up by several former cricketers, who wondered if there was a divide in the Australia dressing room.

Pink Ball Does More Than Red, One Has To Find His Own Way To Deal With It: Rohit Sharma

India skipper Rohit Sharma on Thursday said that one will need to devise his own methods to deal with the challenges posed by the pink Kookaburra ball during the day/night Test against Australia as it would do a bit more than the traditional red cherry. Rohit, who didn't score too many in the truncated warm-up game against the Prime Minister's XI, was asked for his take on the pink ball and he agreed with his colleague KL Rahul's view that it does come faster than the red Kookaburra.

Jasprit Bumrah Among Stars Nominated For ICC Player Of The Month Award

Jasprit Bumrah was on Thursday nominated as one of the three contenders to win the ICC player of the month award for November following his magnificent performance in India's massive win by 295 runs over Australia in Perth while captaining the side. Bumrah led the Indian team in the absence of skipper Rohit Sharma, who missed the series opener of the five-match Test rubber due to the birth of his second child. The peerless fast bowler was nominated along with South African left-arm seamer Marco Jansen and Pakistan's Haris Rauf.

"I'd Hit Him Back Over...": On Jasprit Bumrah, Australia Great's Clear Message Ahead of Day-Night Test

Jasprit Bumrah is one Indian player who generates awe and fear in almost similar capacity. Bumrah, currently the world No. 1 bowler in Tests, led India from the front against Australia in the first match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. He returned with a match-haul of eight wickets as India notched a memorable win. "It was so important for the captain to stand up," Ricky Ponting, former Australia captain, said in the latest ICC Review. "I think he showed everyone why he's clearly the best fast bowler in the world in all formats of the game.

Blow To R Ashwin And Ravindra Jadeja For 2nd Test, Report Says Team Management Prefers This Player

Just as the case was in the opening Test between India and Australia in Perth, the second Test at Adelaide is also likely to see Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja being made to warm the bench. According to a report, Washington Sundar is all but certain to keep hold of his spot in the Indian team as the 'sole spinner', with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Harshit Rana accompanying him as the three pacers for the day-night Test.

"You Legend, But You Old": Yashasvi Jaiswal Sledges Another Australia Veteran After Mitchell Starc

Young India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal won the battle of nerves against Australia's experienced bowling quartet -- Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc and Nathan Lyon -- in the 1st Test in Perth. In what was his first taste of Test cricket in Australia, Jaiswal was dismissed for a duck in the first innings, raising doubts over his ability to play new ball in pace-friendly tracks. However, the youngster proved everyone wrong in the second innings as he laid the foundation of India's big 295-run win, smashing 161.

"Best For Team...": Rohit Sharma Makes Big Sacrifice Ahead Of 2nd Test Against Australia

Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma confirmed that he will be batting in the middle order while KL Rahul will open the batting in the second Test match against Australia in Adelaide starting Friday. Rohit missed the first Test match in Perth as he decided to stay with his family following the birth of his second child. However, with the India captain joining the squad, several fans as well as experts thought that Rahul will no longer be opening the batting despite scoring a gritty 77 in Perth. However, Rohit ended all speculations in the pre-match press conference and made it clear that he will not play as an opener..
