Two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra has announced the postponement of the Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 javelin throw competition, set to be held on May 24 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, in light of the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. The Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 was scheduled to be India's first-ever International Javelin throw competition. The World Athletics is the official sanctioning body of this historic event, which Neeraj Chopra was organising in collaboration with JSW Sports and the Athletics Federation of India (AFI). The event would have seen the participation of several Olympic medallists, including Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra, Thomas Rohler, Anderson Peters and others.
Manchester United's players have three Premier League games to make their mark and earn a spot in the starting lineup for the Europa League final, but they will have to be managed to avoid injuries, boss Ruben Amorim said.

Double Olympic medallist Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra will compete at the Ostrava Golden Spike 2025 athletics meet in the Czech Republic city on June 24, hoping to be third time lucky after pulling out in the last two editions due to injuries. The Tokyo Olympics gold medallist was supposed to participate in the 2023 and 2024 editions of the tournament but pulled out after suffering injuries on both occasions. However, he was in Ostrava last year as a special guest of the competition, which is the most prestigious annual athletics event in the country. The tournament will see Chopra compete in his legendary new coach Jan Zelezny's home turf.
"I think he is going to be a top, top, top player and is going to have a great career here in Manchester," Ruben Amorim said of Leny Yoro earlier this year.
