India vs Pakistan, Asia Cup 2023: Head-To-Head Stats, Odds, Win Chances And More

The India vs Pakistan Super 4 match in Asia Cup 2023 is set to take place on Sunday, September 10 at the R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. Both the teams will be looking to register a victory in the game after the first match in the tournament was washed out due to rain at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Saturday last week. Heavy rain at the venue forced the match to be abandoned mid-way. Pakistan bundled out India for 266 runs in the game but failed to start their chase due to rain.

India vs Pakistan: Rohit Sharma On Cusp Of History, Set To Join Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar In Elite List

India captain Rohit Sharma is on the cusp of a historic milestone. As the Indian team gears up to take on Pakistan in their Super 4 clash in the Asia Cup 2023, Rohit would look to bring up the 10,000-run milestone in ODI cricket, becoming the third fastest player in the format to do so. The record is led by Rohit's teammate Virat Kohli while the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly complete the top three. Rohit can usurp Ganguly and take the no. 3 spot if he scores 78 runs against Pakistan on Sunday.

India vs Pakistan Super 4 Clash In Asia Cup To Have Reserve Day. The Format Is...

Giving a big sigh of relief to cricket fans, the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has announced a reserve day for the Super Four stage match between India and Pakistan which is scheduled to take place on September 10 at R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. As per ACC, if adverse weather suspends play during the India and Pakistan game, the match will continue on September 11 from the point it was suspended. In such an eventuality, ticket-holders are advised to hold on to their match tickets which will remain valid and will be utilised for the reserve day. It also has to be noted that the India vs Pakistan contest is the only fixture to have a Reserve Day in the Super 4 stage. None of the other matches will have this option available for teams.

Babar Azam vs Virat Kohli Rivalry Renews: A Look At Player Battles In India vs Pakistan Clash

The first India vs Pakistan match could only see one innings being possible, with rain washing out the second innings. In the match, India's talismanic batter Virat Kohli could only score 4 runs while his rival Babar Azam didn't get the opportunity to bat. Over the years, Kohli and Babar have dominated the run-scoring records, pushing each other to excel for their respective teams. As India and Pakistan square off for one more time in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup, the Kohli vs Babar rivalry will be renewed, hopefully without any rain interruption this time.

"Pakistan Is Ready To...": Shahid Afridi On Jay Shah's 'Security Concern' Comment

While replying to the concern of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah regarding the issue of "security" in Pakistan, former captain Shahid Afridi has sent out a reminder. It is worth noting that Asia Cup 2023 which was earlier slated to take place entirely in Pakistan is now being co-hosted by the country after nine matches of the tournament were moved out to Sri Lanka. "All the full members, media rights holders, and in-stadia rights holders were initially hesitant to commit to hosting the entire tournament in Pakistan. This reluctance stemmed from concerns related to the security and economic situation prevailing in the country," said Shah.

"Don't Know What Najam Sethi Is Smoking...": Harbhajan Singh Blasts Ex-PCB Chief For 'India Afraid' Comment

The Asia Cup 2023 venue continues to be part of a hot debate. Initially the continental event was supposed to be held fully in Pakistan but then the Asian Cricket Council, led by BCCI secretary Jay Shah, decided on a hybrid model. Barring four matches, all the other games are being played in Sri Lanka. However, rain has played spoilsport in the matches. In the first India vs Pakistan game at Pallekele, not a single ball could be bowled in the second innings, after Pakistan dismissed India for 266.
