Warri Wolves FC commenced the second round of the 2023/2024 Nigeria National League (NNL) on an impressive note, beating Trade Safe FC of Lagos 3-1 on Sunday. The victory came a few days after the club recruited new players to ensure a smooth sail in the challenges ahead. At the end of the first stanza of the NNL, Warri Wolves was among the teams rooted at the bottom of the table, but the club’s management, led by Nevile Ambekederemo, decided to bring in some new players, including Ospino Egbe from Wikki Tourists, Yusuf Omotayo, a former player with Rivers United and Smart City FC of Lagos,Ambakederemo Tamakuro from Sunshine Stars and Bright Akpojuowevwo from Bayelsa United.
