Sourav Ganguly, the former India skipper and current president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), has denied that he will be a part of the upcoming second edition of Legends League Cricket. His clarification came minutes after the tournament organisers had issued a press release, saying that the former India skipper will be a part of the league.
Legends League Cricket on Wednesday confirmed that Shane Watson (Australia), Ravi Bopara (England), Matt Prior (England), Chris Tremlett (England), Parveez Maharoof (Sri Lanka), Romesh Kaluwitharana (Sri Lanka) and Upul Chandana (Sri Lanka) have been added to the players list for the upcoming second edition. The upcoming season is becoming bigger with each passing day, having previously gotten Brett Lee, Harbhajan Singh and Mitchell Johnson on board.

Virender Sehwag, Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan will be in action when the second season of the Legends League Cricket returns in September with four teams and 110 International players on board, the organisers announced on Tuesday. "I love to be on the cricket field. I missed playing the 1st season of LLC but it would be great to go back into the field with the LLC season 2," Sehwag, who missed the last season, said. Apart from Sehwag, the Pathan brothers have confirmed their participation so far in the tournament.

Royals, who won the inaugural IPL title under Warne, came out with 'SW23' Warne's shirt number on their collars in the match against Mumbai Indians at the DY Patil Stadium. The spin legend's death from a suspected heart attack aged 52 on March 4 shocked the cricketing world, with Royals saying he "made us believe". Players from both teams stood in line with the umpires at the start of the game for a minute's applause to celebrate the illustrious career of Warne - the "first Royal" as the team call him.
