During his second innings in the Rajkot Test match against England, Jaiswal crafted a superb knock that helped him reclaim his authority over the Three Lions in the ongoing five-match Test series. After a slow and careful start, the southpaw raced to his half-century in 80 balls before changing gears and competing his ton in 122 balls. On Day 4 of the third Test between India and England, a big concussion unfolded in the middle of the pitch as Ben Stokes' men mistook drinks break with the declaration. The likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan reached their double century and fifty respectively. Though it was a drinks break that saw the players in the field and in the dressing room break from the gameplay, a few including Sarfaraz and Jaiswal mistook the occasion as the declaration. India captain Rohit Sharma had to come to the edge of the dressing room and instruct the players to return.

India made a mockery of England in the third Test of the five-match series, smashing the visitors by 434 runs in Rajkot on Sunday. This is their biggest win in terms of runs in their 577 Test history, and also the first time that they've won by a margin of 400 runs or more. India surpassed their 372-run victory over New Zealand in 2021. The win allowed India to go 2-1 up in the series and leapfrog Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) points table. The Rohit Sharma-led side are now second in the WTC points table.
