Delhi Capitals Players' Cricket Equipment Worth Lakhs Stolen In Transit: Report

Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Delhi Capitals players lost their bats, pads and other cricketing equipment after it was stolen from their luggage after they landed from Bangalore at the Delhi Airport, according to a report. The players learned about it a day later as kit bags from cargo came a day after. Almost all the players have lost their bats, with batter Yash Dhull losing atleast five of his bats. The bats that foreign players lost cost Rs 1 Lakh each.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 game between Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals saw several turns. David Warner and Axar Patel scored contrasting half-centuries, however, the DC side lost wickets in heaps as they were all out for 172 in 19.4 overs. For MI, Piyush Chawla and Jason Behrendorff took three wickets each. The match also saw Suryakumar Yadav suffer a freak injury. It happened in the 17th over, when Axar hit Behrendorff over long-on.
