'You make cricket special': Virat Kohli's heartfelt note for RCB fans after team's loss in Qualifier 2

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli on Saturday penned a heartfelt note for fans after the franchise lost Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals to get knocked out of the IPL 2022. Prasidh Krishna (3/22) and Obed McCoy's (3/23) sensational bowling followed by Jos Buttler's special knock (106 not out off 60) led Rajasthan Royals to IPL 2022 final with a convincing seven-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Qualifier 2 at Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday. The 33-year-old Kohli, who didn't have a great IPL season, in his social media post said that learning never stops. "Sometimes you win, and sometimes you don't, but the 12th Man Army, you have been fantastic, always backing us throughout our campaign. You make cricket special. The learning never stops. (1/2)," Virat wrote on Twitter along with the pictures from his IPL 2022 campaign.

"See You Next Season": Virat Kohli's Emotional Message After RCB's Exit From IPL 2022

After Royal Challengers Bangalore's Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 journey ending with a defeat to Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2, star batter Virat Kohli took to social media on Saturday and penned an emotional note to everyone associated with the franchise. Kohli was dismissed for just seven runs during RCB's seven-wicket defeat to RR at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. The former RCB skipper thanked the "12th Man Army" and the management for their continuous support throughout the season, and said that they "make cricket special".

"I Would Like Him To Be Scoring More Runs Of Course": Brett Lee On Virat Kohli

Virat Kohli can consider taking a break, freshen up his mind and work on a few things, feels former Australian speedster Brett Lee, a year after struggling to look beyond the Indian when it came to the best batter in recent years. Kohli's mediocre campaign in the IPL-15 ended after Royal Challengers Bangalore's seven-wicket defeat by Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier in Ahmedabad on Friday. "Do I say it is a concern, I do. I would like him (Kohli) to be scoring more runs of course," Lee told PTI on Saturday when asked about Kohli's prolonged lean patch.

RCB Didn't Rely Only On Retained Players, Build Squad Around Them: Mike Hesson

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) Director of Cricket Operations Mike Hesson said on Friday that the most pleasing aspect of the side's game during the season was that they did not have to rely solely on their retained players. An explosive century by Jos Buttler sent Royal Challengers Bangalore out of the tournament and Rajasthan Royals to their first IPL finals since 2008 as they chased down the target of 158 set by RCB in 18.1 overs. For RCB, it was only Rajat Patidar who looked like the only real threat throughout the game with his 58-run knock.

IPL 2022: Virender Sehwag Says Virat Kohli Has Made More Mistakes This Season Than Probably In His Entire Career

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batter Virat Kohli had high hopes riding on him when he walked out to open the batting alongside skipper Faf du Plessis in Qualifier 2 against Rajasthan Royals of ongoing IPL 2022 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In the opening over bowled by Trent Boult, Kohli whipped the ball off his pads for a six over deep-square leg and it looked like the batter was in the zone. However, in the very next over, the 33-year-old was dismissed by Prasidh Krishna after scoring just 7 runs. The dismissal was a worrying sign as it saw the RCB batter chasing a short and wide delivery, to hand a simple catch to wicketkeeper Sanju Samson.

Jos Buttler "No.1 White-Ball Player By A Country Mile": Ex-England Captain

After Jos Buttler hit a record-equalling fourth century in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 against Royal Challengers Bangalore to power Rajasthan Royals into their first final since 2008, former England captain Michael Vaughan hailed him as the best limited-overs player in the world, adding "by a country mile". Buttler smashed an unbeaten 106 off 60 deliveries to help the Royals chase down 158 with ease in IPL 2022 Qualifier 2 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. The Royals will now face Gujarat Titans in the final.

IPL 2022: Jos Buttler's whirlwind century puts Rajasthan Royals in the final

Jos Buttler take the Rajasthan Royals into the IPL final after 14 years with his latest special, a devastating 60-ball, unbeaten 106 which was studded with 10 fours and six sixes, a certain Shane Warne would be smiling no end from the heavens. With his murderous blade, Buttler is paying the leg-Spin legend, who led the Royals to their sole title in 2008, the perfect tribute. Smashing his fourth hundred of IPL 2022, Buttler, who crossed 800 runs in the tournament, helped the Royals chase down 158 on a canter, as they outclassed Royal Challengers Bangalore by seven wickets at the imposing Narendra Modi Stadium in the second qualifier.
