At the top of the order, Chawla picked legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar and current India captain Rohit Sharma as openers. At no.3, the 35-year-old made a surprise pick in the form of Virender Sehwag, and demoted Virat Kohli to no. 4.

Wearing a yellow jersey, Rohit was seen emerging from the airport escorted by security personnel, in a PTI Video on Thursday night, while Kohli came directly to Chennai from London in an early-morning flight. The likes of India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul and wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant had earlier reached the city on Thursday.

For the unversed, Rahul only lost his place to Sarfaraz due to an injury. While analysing the squad, former India batter Aakash Chopra suggested that Rahul will have a point to prove.

Besides the big ones, Lyon has also warned that the visitors have an 'amazing line-up', making things massively challenging for the hosts. "Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant are probably going to be the three really big ones. But then, you've still got (Yashasvi) Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, (Ravindra) Jadeja, and who else will come out-another five, I'm not sure," he told Star Sports.
