Tarran Mackenzie took his second Bennetts British Superbike Championship win of the day at Brands Hatch on Sunday afternoon after a thrilling battle with McAMS Yamaha team-mate Jason O’Halloran.
In-form Jason O’Halloran set the fastest ever lap of Brands Hatch on Saturday afternoon as he claimed pole position for the opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship race ahead of McAMS Yamaha team-mate Tarran Mackenzie and championship leader Bradley Ray (Rich OMG Racing Yamaha).
Jason O’Halloran topped the third and final free practice session at a sun-blessed Brands Hatch on Saturday morning, the McAMS Yamaha rider lapping 0.145s quicker than team-mate Tarran Mackenzie with Friday’s pace setter Bradley Ray (Rich OMG Racing Yamaha) in third.
Rich OMG Yamaha’s Brad Ray remained in firm charge of the Friday Bennetts British Superbike timesheets this afternoon, fending off challenges from Peter Hickman and Jason O’Halloran to stay on top.
