Shubman Gill produced an absolute masterclass as he slammed his third IPL century for Gujarat Titans during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Qualifier 2 encounter against Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. Gill looked completely in control against all the MI bowlers as the opener scored 129 runs off 60 deliveries with the help of 7 fours and 10 sixes. While all the MI bowlers struggled against him, last match's hero Akash Madhwal went for three sixes in a single over.

Mumbai Indians registered a thumping 81-run victory over Lucknow Super Giants in the Eliminator match on IPL 2023 on Wednesday. Playing at Chepauk, the five-time champions posted a total of 182/8 and later bundled out LSG for 101, after Akash Madhwal took a five-wicket haul. The wickets kept on tumbling as young pacer Madhwal broke the backbone of LSG's batting attack but one wicket which became the talk of the town was from the Mumbai Indians' camp, as Tim David's dismissal off Yash Thakur's delivery can be called as one of the most unfortunate.

Lucknow Super Giants had a forgettable outing against Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2023 Eliminator in Chennai on Wednesday. Chasing a 183-run target, LSG fell short by 81 runs to be knocked out of the race for a final berth. Marcus Stoinis was LSG's best batter with a score of 40. Till the time he was at the crease, it looked like LSG were in with a chance despite wickets falling at the other end. However, his innings was cut short in the 12th over of the chase after a bizarre run out. Facing MI's Cameron Green, Stoinis and fellow batter Deepak Hooda ran for a couple of runs on the fifth delivery. There was a mix-up between the two and they even collided mid-pitch.
