NORWICH: Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel insisted he is not concerned by the sanctions on Blues owner Roman Abramovich that plunged the European champions into turmoil on Thursday (Mar 10).
Thomas Tuchel has made four changes to his Chelsea side for this evening's Premier League clash against Norwich City, which comes just hours after Roman Abramovich was added to the UK government's sanction list.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admits he has sympathy for Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel after the European champions were hit by tough sanctions placed on Blues owner Roman Abramovich. The Russian billionaire was one of seven oligarchs targeted Thursday by the UK government following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, all described as part of President Vladimir Putin's inner circle. Abramovich last week announced he was selling the club but now his UK assets have been frozen, with strict restrictions placed on Chelsea, including over the signing of new players and ticket sales.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has expressed sympathy with his Chelsea counterpart Thomas Tuchel after the London club's Russian owner Roman Abramovich was sanctioned by the UK Government. The action, part of the government's response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, means that the oligarch's assets, including Chelsea, have been frozen. The club can continue to operate under a special licence but restrictions imposed include a ban on selling tickets, while the government remains "open" to the sale of the Blues. The threat of sanctions had been widely speculated about over the past fortnight and, as he holds press conferences before games, Tuchel had often found himself as a de facto spokesperson for the club on the matter.
