Top-seeded Novak Djokovic looked sharp in his first ATP match in 2 1/2 months as he rolled to a 6-0, 6-3 win over Spain's Pablo Andujar on Thursday to reach the quarter-finals of the Tel Aviv Open in Israel.
Yoshihito Nishioka stunned Dan Evans in the first round of the Korea Open to maintain his unbeaten record against the British No. 2. Nishioka beat Evans 6-2 7-6(3) breaking him four times along the way in Seoul.
Dan Evans was knocked out of the Korea Open in the first round on Tuesday, losing to Yoshihito Nishioka in straight sets. The world number 25 quickly conceded the first set 6-2, before putting up a fight in the second set to push the match to a 6-6 tiebreaker that world number 56 Nishioka eventually won.
Stan Wawrinka pulled off a stunning upset on Thursday, beating top-seeded Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 6-7 (7), 6-3 to reach the quarterfinals of the Moselle Open in Metz, France.
French wild card Gilles Simon, who plans to retire after the 2022 season, won his first-round match against Belgium's David Goffin 6-3, 6-3 on Tuesday at the Moselle Open in Metz, France.
