Several Proteas stars have made themselves available and have signed up for this year's Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
South Africa spinner Tabraiz Shamsi took to Twitter on Tuesday to share a picture of him with India batter Shreyas Iyer from a pre-match training session and came up with an epic caption. In the picture, Shamsi can be seen chatting with Shreyas, who has his bat in hand. "Asked @ShreyasIyer15 for his bat before the game so he could stop hitting me for 6s haha," Shamsi captioned the picture, before going on to add "you definitely won this round bud!"
Harshal Patel finished with figures of 4/25, his best in T20 internationals, to help India win the third T20I against South Africa by 48 runs, which kept the five-match series alive. The medium pacer picked up the wicket of opener Reeza Hendricks inside the powerplay. But it was his second spell that proved to be decisive as he removed the in-form David Miller with a slower delivery to all but guarantee India's win after a good show by the batters.
India host South Africa for a five-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series, starting on Thursday. The first match of the series will be played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Both teams have been sweating it out in preparations for the first game. But some players are feeling the heat in Delhi with the mercury breaching the 45-degree Celsius mark in six localities in the city on Monday. South African spinner Tabraiz Shamsi tweeted in respect to the temperature in Delhi, joking it's "Just a cool 42 degrees outside ..not hot at all lol".
