A trip to face Hibs at Easter Road is all-new for Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley.
Fabio Carvalho's Fulham teammate Sylvester Jasper says the 19-year-old 'wants to play at pinnacle of football' amid interest from Liverpool.
Requiring a player capable of helping fill the void left by Martin Boyle’s transfer to Saudi Arabian side Al-Faisaly, the Easter Road side pursued Fulham forward Sylvester Jasper, eventually securing his services on a loan until the end of the season with an option-to-buy clause included in the deal.
It was a late, late move that Hibs just managed to squeeze through before the January transfer window slammed shut.
Hibs are no different. Throughout the month of January, in the winter transfer window, eight first-team players were integrated into the first-team squad – Rocky Bushiri, Harry Clarke, Ewan Henderson, Sylvester Jasper, Elias Melkersen, Demi Mitchell, Chris Mueller and Dylan Tait – while a further nine left on permanent or loan deals.
A lot can change in a year. Just ask Hibs striker Kevin Nisbet.
But instead of battling the elements and the North Sea spray, he is basking in 20° heat and helping Al-Faisaly out of the Saudi Premier League relegation zone.
For a while, though, Arbroath dared to dream; Craig Wighton stabbing the ball past Matt Macey at the second attempt after his initial effort from Colin Hamilton's cross was blocked for an early opener.
