Pat Cummins Among IPL Trio To Miss Australia's T20 World Cup Warm-up Matches

Australia's T20 World Cup 2024 squad's core members such as Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Travis Head will miss their national side warm-up matches as they will travel back to Australia to take a short break ahead of the mega event. After participating in Sunday's IPL final, Cummins, Head, and Starc will travel back to Australia before re-joining the World Cup team. Among those spending time at home are Glenn Maxwell and Cameron Green, who were a part of Royal Challengers Bengaluru's playoff run. When the Australian team travels to Barbados in preparation for their opening group game against Oman on June 5, those five are expected to arrive.

After the exhilarating journey of more than two months, Kolkata Knight Riders stood tall against all the odds and emerged as the winners of IPL 2024. The entire KKR management and players knew no bounds to their joy after the side clinched its third IPL title. Even KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir and all-rounder Sunil Narine, the two who are generally least expressive on and off the ground, were seen having moments of joy together. Narine won his first MVP award in the IPL 2012 after picking up 24 wickets, which was also his debut season.
