Jasprit Bumrah Becomes First Indian Pacer To Reach This Massive T20 Milestone

Jasprit Bumrah is one of the best bowlers in Indian cricket right now. The Mumbai Indians pacer has even picked a five-for in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. On Tuesday, he reached a massive T20 milestone in the match against SunRisers Hyderabad. He took only one wicket of Washington Sundar but with that lone scalp he became the first Indian pacer to pick 250 wickets in T20s. So far, four Indian spinners - Ravichandran Ashwin (274), Yuzvendra Chahal (271), Piyush Chawla (270) and Amit Mishra (262) - have gone past the 250-wicket mark in T20 cricket.

"Like Sending Lamb To Slaughterhouse": Aakash Chopra Unimpressed By Kane Williamson's Captaincy vs KKR

Andre Russell was the star of the show as Kolkata Knight Riders kept themselves afloat, at least on paper, for a spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 playoffs with a 54-run win against SunRisers Hyderabad at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Saturday. Before taking three wickets with ball in hand, Russell also smashed an unbeaten 49 off just 28 deliveries to take KKR to a commendable total of 177/6. He was especially brutal in the final over of KKR's innings as SRH opted to go for the unconventional and bowl off-spinner Washington Sundar. Russell smashed the hapless Sundar for three sixes, with 20 runs coming off the over.

During Kolkata Knight Riders' 54-run win over SunRisers Hyderabad in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Saturday, controversy broke out in the 12th over after Rinku Singh was given out LBW off T Natarajan's bowling. The umpire took his time to make up his mind before finally raising his finger. As the timer for the DRS review ran out, Rinku was seen in an argument with the umpire, suggesting he had asked for the review, but the umpire was having none of it, saying that the time was up. After a long discussion, Rinku finally turned and walked back to the pavilion.

IPL 2022: Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody defends playing out-of-form Kane Williamson as opener

Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody has defended playing captain Kane Williamson as an opener despite the batsman's ongoing run drought in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Williamson's tally of 208 runs from 12 matches has come at a strike rate of 92.85, the worst among batsmen with a minimum of 100 runs this season. In Saturday's match against Kolkata Knight Riders, the New Zealand captain managed just nine off 17 balls, but Moody said he was against tinkering with the Hyderabad middle order, which had been working well for them. "Rahul Tripathi has batted exceptionally well at number three and (Aiden) Markram has been one of the leading batters in the tournament at four," Moody said after their defeat by Kolkata in Pune. "So, we felt why change something that's working for something that's not working. We have trusted Kane with his quality, there's no question of his world-class quality. So, that's why we haven't made that move because as we have seen throughout the tournament where the batting has been functioning really well."
