Warne had passed away on Friday aged 52 after a suspected heart attack. "He was a teacher through his commentary and I've seen hundreds of photos over the last 24 hours of all the spinners he worked with. He helped Steve Smith in his younger days and Rashid Khan has been catching up with him - just imagine the conversations they would have had. So I feel it is now up to me, whenever I get an opportunity, to just let the world know what he was like and pass on some of the things I learnt from him," Ponting said on the 'ICC Review'.

Having been made to toil on the first two days of the opening Test against Pakistan, Australia returned the favour on Day 3 by piling on the runs in Rawalpindi. Usman Khawaja and David Warner put on 156 runs for the opening wicket to frustrate the Pakistan bowlers. Khawaja was dismissed for a brilliant 97 while Warner made 68. Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith then took centrestage as Australia reached 271 for two at stumps on Day 3. Despite some stare downs from Pakistan bowlers, Warner took on the opposition with a smile on his face.

Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan gave Australia batter Marnus Labuschagne a gentle rub on his right arm after the latter was struck by a ball while batting on the third day of the opening Test between the two sides in Rawalpindi on Sunday. Labuschagne was facing a delivery from Pakistan spinner Nauman Ali when he failed to connect while trying to sweep it towards leg. The ball spun in a way that it hit Labuschagne's right forearm after pitching outside the leg stump. Rizwan, who was keeping behind the stumps, stepped in to help Labuschagne and gave the latter a gentle rub on his right forearm.
