El base esloveno, de 35 años, buscaba un aspirante en el que completar una temporada en la que no había jugado. En verano fue traspasado a Toronto Raptors en la operación Kyle Lowry. En Canadá no tuvo interés en jugar (cinco partidos es todo bagaje) y estuvo al margen de la franquicia hasta que en el día del cierre de mercado fue enviado a los Spurs dentro de la operación que llevó a Thaddeus Young a los Raptors. Cuatro días después los Spurs lo cortaron y ahora Dragic ha deshojado la margarita.
