PCB Appoints Tony Hemming As Chief Curator For 2 Years

The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed Australia's Tony Hemming as its new chief curator on a two-year contract. In the past the PCB had hired the services of foreign curators like Andy Atkinson to help improve the quality of pitches in the country but this is the first time it has offered a long-term contract to a foreign curator. Hemmings hails from Western Australia. The Australian has worked in the past with the ICC and has four decades of experience in pitch and outfield management, having worked on Melbourne, Perth and Hobart grounds apart from supervising tracks in Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi will be meeting former cricketers to hold discussions regarding the country's domestic cricket system, Geo News reported, citing sources. According to the report, around 30-35 international cricketers will meet the PCB chairman on Monday. They will give their feedback and suggestions to improve the domestic cricket structure in the country. The expected meeting is being held in light of the recent criticism by some sections of fans and former Pakistan cricketers on the Men in Green's performance in the T20 World Cup 2024.

Pakistan To Host England, West Indies, Bangladesh In A Busy Season

Deviating from its tradition of announcing international series at the last minute, the Pakistan Cricket Board confirmed on Friday that the men's team will play nine Tests, 14 ODIs and nine T20Is in the 2024/25 season, including an high-profile series against England. Pakistan will host England in a three-match Test series in October this year, while tours by Bangladesh and the West Indies are also on the calendar. “These series are a vital part of our strategy to strengthen Pakistan's position in international cricket and ensure long-term sustainability for the sport in our country,” said Mohsin Naqvi, the PCB Chairman.
