As per a report by the Indian Express, the BCCI selection committee, headed by Ajit Agarkar, is likely to pick both the squads on Friday.
Former Indian cricket team batter Aakash Chopra believes that Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson will not find a place in the squad for the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025. Chopra picked his 15-member squad for the ICC tournament and SKY was a massive omission in the team. Chopra said that although the star batter has been brilliant in T20 cricket, he has not been playing ODIs and his lack of runs in the Vijay Hazare Trophy will play a big role. Samson, who was retained by RR for Rs 18 crore, has opened up on the prospect of playing as a fielder and passing on the wicketkeeping baton to youngster Dhruv Jurel. Samson also revealed that he and Jurel had a chat over the same, especially with the latter keen to keep the wickets after his recent elevation as India's second choice Test wicketkeeper.
