Star India batter Virat Kohli on Saturday achieved yet another milestone in his illustrious career when he took the field against Australia on Day 1 of the 3rd Test at the Gabba in Brisbane. Kohli became only the second player to feature in 100 or more international games against Australia, joining the legendary Sachin Tendulkar in the elite list. In his 24-year-long career, Tendulkar played 110 matches against Australia. As far as Kohli's record against Australia is concerned, he has played 28 Tests, 49 ODIs and 23 T20Is, scoring scored 5326 runs in 117 innings at an average of 50.24 including 17 centuries and 27 half-centuries.

Former India cricketer Vinod Kambli has agreed to enter rehab amid concerns over his health and financial crisis. Recently, India's 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev offered to bear the expenses of Kambli's treatment, only if the the latter is willing to enter rehab. Legendary batter Sunil Gavaskar also came forward and offered to help Kambli, who has already been to rehab 14 times. While admitting that his financial condition is a mess, Kambli credited his wife for managing everything.

Sara Tendulkar, daughter of legendary batter Sachin Tendulkar, was spotted in the stands on Day 1 of the third Test encounter between India and Australia at The Gabba in Brisbane on Saturday. Sara was cheering from the stands with former cricketers Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh sitting on the seats behind her. However, there was not much play in the first session of Day 1 as heavy rain impacted play and according to forecasts, couple of days' play can get affected by the rainfall and thunderstorms.

India's iconic 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev has expressed his willingness to assist former cricketer Vinod Kambli, provided the Mumbai star takes the initiative to address his struggles. Kambli represented India in 17 Tests and 104 One-Day Internationals between 1991 and 2000, amassing 3,561 runs across both formats. Kapil Dev emphasised the importance of self-help as a starting point for meaningful rehabilitation. Speaking at the launch of the Vishwa Samudra Open, Kapil Dev, also the president of the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI), said, "We are all (there) to support him. Sunil Gavaskar has already told me on behalf of the 1983 World Cup-winning team, and I extend my help on my behalf, but more than me trying to support him, he should support himself. We can't look after him if he does not want to look after himself," Kapil Dev said on Monday.
