CSK Served Brutal 'Playing XI' Warning After Loss vs Rajasthan Royals: " Don't Like..."

Chennai Super Kings faced brutal criticism from former Indian cricket team opener Aakash Chopra after their loss against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 on Sunday. CSK faltered in their chase of 183 and although skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad scored a half-century, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and even MS Dhoni was dismissed on the first ball of the final over. With two losses in three games, CSK are currently seventh in the points table and Chopra was not happy with their team composition. He questioned the decision to include Jamie Overton in place of Sam Curran and also pointed out that the England all-rounder ended up bowling just two overs in the match.

"Recommended Aniket Verma, Priyansh Arya, Etc. To CSK": Scout Makes Explosive Revelation

Chennai Super Kings are having a tough time in the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The five-time champions opened their campaign with a thumping win over the arch-rivals Mumbai Indians but then succumbed against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals. In both the losses, CSK's batting lineup faltered and failed to take the side across the line. To make the matters worse, the legendary MS Dhoni, who was once considered as one of the best finishers, also could not perform as per the expectations.

Ravindra Jadeja's 3-Word Post On Photo With MS Dhoni Breaks The Internet

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are off to a disappointing start to their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, losing two of the first three matches. The form of the team's talismans, including Ravindra Jadeja, has been a big headache for the side. Even the way the icon MS Dhoni has been used, has triggered a debate. Amid this period of self-introspection and doubts, CSK all-rounder Jadeja took to social media to share a 3-word post, which also featured a picture of him with MS Dhoni.

"Painful To Watch": Ambati Rayudu's Honest Admission On CSK's Horrid Start To IPL 2025

An iconic franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings are off to a tough start to the 2025 campaign, losing two of the first three games. The likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Rachin Ravindra and a few others have managed to score some runs but other around them have struggled to contribute. In the bowling department, Noor Ahmed has been CSK's finest performer but others haven't some as much consistency. But, where CSK have let their fans down the most, is arguably the fielding department.

"For 5 Years...": Virender Sehwag Exposes CSK And MS Dhoni's Flaws With Damning Statistics

MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja were on the pitch as Chennai Super Kings required 20 runs from the final over to beat Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 match on Sunday. Dhoni swung his bat, looking for a maximum, but found the safe hands of Shimron Hetmyer as he departed for an 11-ball 16. His partner Jadeja couldn't do much either as CSK lost their second successive match, going down by 6 runs in the chase of 183. Though the margin of victory was narrow, it's also a fact that the Super Kings have never managed to chase down a target of over 180 runs over the last five years.

IPL 2025: Asked About CSK's Poor Form, Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad Gives Unfiltered Reply

Chennai Super Kings skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad blamed their poor starts and fielding lapses as key reasons behind their six-run defeat to Rajasthan Royals in the IPL on Sunday, marking their second consecutive loss. Nitish Rana's blistering 36-ball 81, combined with Wanindu Hasaranga's four-wicket haul, powered Rajasthan Royals to a hard-fought win at the Barsapara Stadium. Chasing 183, CSK lost Rachin Ravindra for duck while Rahul Tripathi got out after the power play as they finished at 176/6. They had lost their last match at home to Royal Challengers Bengaluru, a first in 17 years.

Rana, Hasaranga help Rajasthan Royals to first season win in IPL

GUWAHATI, India: Nitish Rana’s batting blitz combined with a four-wicket haul by Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga led Rajasthan Royals to their first victory of this IPL season against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday. Rajasthan depended on a 36-ball 81 by Rana to post 182-9 after being invited to bat first at their second home in Guwahati. Hasaranga then turned on the heat with his leg-spin to help restrict Chennai to 176-6 and a six-run win to bounce back from two losses in the T20 tournament. The left-handed Rana put on 82 for the second wicket with Sanju Samson to lay the foundations. Afghanistan left-arm wrist spinner Noor Ahmad once again proved his worth as he broke the stand with the wicket of Samson, who is Rajasthan’s regular captain but playing only as a batsman due to an injury. Rana reached his fifty in 21 balls and bludgeoned the bowlers with 10 fours and five sixes in his stay at the crease. Veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin cut short Rana’s knock as he had the batsman stumped to check Rajasthan’s surge. Stand-in-skipper Riyan Parag hit 37 off 28 balls before being bowled by Sri Lankan pace bowler Matheesha Pathirana. Pace spearhead Khaleel Ahmed dismissed Jofra Archer for a duck for his second wicket. Noor and Pathirana both returned figures of 2-28. In Chennai’s reply, Archer struck in the first over to have Rachin Ravindra caught behind for a duck as he celebrated his first wicket this IPL season. Archer had a disastrous start to the tournament when he went for 76 in his four overs against Sunrisers Hyderabad for the league’s most expensive bowling figures ever. Hasaranga struck with his first ball to send back Rahul Tripathi before skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad attempted to put the chase on track
