DOHA: Roberto Mancini's Saudi Arabia fought back to defeat Oman 2-1 in the dying seconds at the Asian Cup on Tuesday (Jan 16) but only after some VAR confusion.
DOHA :Saudi Arabia came from behind to beat Oman 2-1 in their Asian Cup Group F opener on Tuesday at a packed Khalifa International Stadium with Ali Al-Bulayhi's winner arriving in the sixth minute of stoppage time after a VAR intervention.

Saudi Arabia manager Roberto Mancini has not held back in his criticism of the national team players who left the squad ahead of the 2023 Asian Cup because of a potential lack of playing time.

DOHA : Saudi Arabia coach Roberto Mancini criticised the players who left the national camp ahead of the Asian Cup due to a potential lack of playing time, saying on Monday that he only wanted players ready to fight for the shirt.
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia hopes that the influx of foreign stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar into their club football will help the national team win their first Asian Cup in 28 years.
