Making a rare appearance in the domestic circuit, Hardik smashed an unbeaten knock of 74 runs off 35 balls, striking 211.4 with six fours and five sixes. By doing so, Hardik etched his name in the history book with a never-before-seen record. He became the first Indian player register a unique double of 5000 runs and 100-plus wickets in the T20 format. The former India T20 captain has 5,067 runs and 180 wickets to his name.

After being released by the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), former India captain Sunil Gavaskar believes that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) would target wicketkeeper-batter KL Rahul in the upcoming IPL 2025 mega auction. LSG snubbed their captain Rahul and retained Nicholas Pooran, Ravi Bishnoi, Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Ayush Badoni in the squad. On the other hand, RCB and CSK retained three (Virat Kohli, Rajat Patidar and Yash Dayal) and five players (Ruturaj Gaikwad, Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni), respectively. The southern franchises will head into the auction with a bank of Rs 83 crore (RCB) and Rs 55 crore (CSK) to fill 22 and 20 spots, respectively.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council announced the complete list of players for the IPL 2025 mega auction. Indian cricket team stars like Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul and Mohammed Shami have been placed in the marquee lists. While Pant and Iyer are part of Marquee List 1, Rahul and Shami headline the second list. The two-day auction will get underway at 3 PM IST (12:30 PM local time) on November 24. Out of the 574 Players, 366 are Indian and 208 are overseas, including 3 players from associate nations. The Auction will include 318 Indian uncapped players and 12 uncapped overseas players. 204 slots will be up for grabs with 70 available slots for overseas players. South Africa captain Aiden Markram won the toss for the third consecutive time in the series and opted to field first in the third T20I against India in Centurion on Wednesday. Before the toss, Hardik Pandya handed the India cap to the debutant Ramandeep Singh. After the first two T20Is, the series stands level at 1-1. The winner in the third T20I will certainly have an edge over the opposition before heading to play the final match of the series on Friday in Johannesburg.

Former Indian cricket team batter Sanjay Manjrekar believes that all-rounder Axar Patel was 'underutilised' in the first two T20I encounters against South Africa. Following India's loss in the second game of the four-match series on Sunday, Manjrekar said that although India are playing Axar as the third spinner with Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi, the team management has failed to use him properly. While the track did provide some help to the spinners, Axar bowled just one over in the match. Manjrekar was not pleased with the decision and called it an "obvious mistake" by captain Suryakumar Yadav.
