The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajeev Shukla said on Tuesday that former cricketer Roger Binny has filed nomination for the post of board president and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Ashish Shelar has filed nomination for treasurer and they are likely to be elected unopposed. "I have filed nomination for the post of vice-president, Roger Binny has filed nomination for the president, Jay Shah has filed for secretary and Ashish Shelar for treasurer. As of now, the situation is that all will be appointed unopposed," said Shukla while interacting with the media.
Former India batter Suresh Raina on Tuesday announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. It is important to note that the left-handed batter had retired from international cricket in 2020 and now he has decided to bid adieu to all formats of cricket. The remarks came in the wake of rumours about former Indian captain and current Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni mentoring Johannesburg Super Kings, a side owned by his franchise for the inaugural edition of Cricket South Africa (CSA) T20 League. A BCCI official said that the board will not allow its players to take part in any foreign cricket leagues.

The BCCI had formed a three-member panel comprising vice-president Rajeev Shukla, treasurer Arun Dhumal and Apex Council member Prabhtej Bhatia to probe Saha's allegation. The 37-year-old India discard appeared before the Committee last month and so did the accused journalist Majumdar and presented their respective versions. Saha had alleged that Majumdar intimidated him for not giving him an interview.
