Indian opener Devdutt Padikkal on Thursday confirmed he will be out of action for three to four weeks owing to a fracture he sustained in his thumb. Padikkal, who played two T20Is for India in 2021, suffered the injury during the Deodhar Trophy earlier this month. The injury has kept Padikkal away from the ongoing Maharaja KSCA T20 trophy here, for which he was picked by Gulbarga Mystics.
After missing out on IPL 2023 due to injury, India pacer Prasidh Krishna is roaring back to form in the ongoing edition of the Maharaja Trophy T20. Playing for Mysore Warriors, the 27-year-old pacer stunned everyone with the dismissal of Luvnith Sisodia during the match against Hubli Tigers on Sunday. Despite the Warriors ending up on the losing side by nine wickets (VJD method), with rain playing spoilsport, the Rajasthan Royals pacer grabbed a lot of attention for his blistering spell.
The five-match T20I series between India and West Indies ended in the favour of the hosts, with a 3-2 score-line. India's rising cricket star Riyan Parag has hit out at the "faceless trolls" who targets him time and again. Parag, a known name in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been part of the T20 extravaganza since 2019. He was bought by Rajasthan Royals (RR) for Rs 20 lakh for his maiden season. Ahead of IPL 2022, RR released the player and paid a whopping sum of Rs 3.8 crore in the auction to buy him again. While the huge bidding increased the stature of Parag, it also invited some added scrutiny that the player was already facing.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) on Monday recalled star batter Shimron Hetmyer for their upcoming three-match ODI series against India at home, starting Thursday at Kensington Oval. Hetmyer hasn't featured for the West Indies side in almost a year but earns a recall on the back of a solid season in the Indian Premier League with the Rajasthan Royals that netted a total of 299 runs from 13 innings. The left-hander hasn't played an ODI for the Caribbean side in two years, with Hetmyer's last appearance in a 50-over match coming against Australia in July 2021.

One which made him one of the most lethal fast bowlers to come out of his country. His son Duvin has now shown a similar action. In a video posted by Mumbai Indians on their Instagram account, Malinga can be seen overseeing his son's progress. He had a suggestion too. "Natural action. He needs to bowl straight and fast. If he beats that, he can learn the skills," Malinga said.
