Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh starred for KKR in the chase as they chased down the 153-run target with five balls to spare. During the KKR innings, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson seemed a bit frustrated with the umpiring. In the 19th over of KKR's chase, Samson showed his frustration by opting for DRS after the umpire signalled for a wide on a delivery bowled by Prasidh Krishna to Rinku Singh.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh starred in the chase against Rajasthan Royals in an IPL 2022 clash on Monday, his unbeaten knock helping his team emerge victorious. But more sensational than the knock itself was the prediction he made for himself. Rinku Singh had also written something on his palm which he later revealed to teammate Nitish Rana. Speaking to Rana after their seven-wicket win, Rinku told the left-hander that he had written he was going to score a fifty and predicted that he would bag the player of the match award. Although, the victory was achieved before either of Rana or Rinku could get to their fifties, but both remained unbeaten and amazingly Rinku also received the player of the match.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by seven wickets in Match 47 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Monday. Chasing a target of 153 runs, KKR reached 158 for three in 19.1 overs with Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh playing unbeaten knocks. Rana hammered 48 runs off 37 balls while Rinku slammed 42 runs off 23 deliveries. Earlier, RR had posted 152 for five in 20 overs, with captain Sanju Samson hitting a half-century. Tim Southee was in good form for KKR and bagged two wickets in four overs.

Rajasthan Royals' (RR) captain Sanju Samson considered his batters' inability to score boundaries in the death overs on a slow pitch as the reason for his side's seven-wicket defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) here on Monday. Samson said with his batters failing to master the KKR bowling on a slow track at the Wankhede Stadium, they fell short by 15-20 runs. "I think the wicket was a bit slow and they bowled really well, but with the batting we have, I would have liked to score a few more boundaries at the end. I think we were short 15-20 runs," said Samson in the post-match presentation on Monday.
