ACAPULCO, Mexico (AP) — Rafael Nadal said earlier in the week that he wasn’t aware of his career statistics. Now, he might want to have a look at them.
Acapulco on Saturday, continuing his good run with a 6-4 6-4 triumph over Cameron Norrie in the final of the ATP 500 event. Nadal stormed through the Acapulco draw without dropping a set to claim his third straight title of 2022, adding to victories in an Australian Open tune-up event and the hardcourt major in Melbourne last month. The Spanish world number five has won 15 straight matches since returning from a foot issue that sidelined him for nearly six months last year.
Rafael Nadal continued his excellent 2022 form as he won the Mexican Open with a 6-4 6-4 win over Cameron Norrie. Nadal won his first title in Acapulco way back in 2005, and has now added to his 2013 and 2020 trophies with this year’s event. The Spaniard did not drop a set, and has won 15 consecutive matches this year.
