Pacer scalps four after skipper Rahul, Hooda revive team with 50sSunrisers Hyderabad came back well in their second game but it was not good enough for them to cross the line. They retained the team that did duty in the opener - and like in the first game Kane Williamson decided to field - but looked good only in parts at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on Monday. AS IT HAPPENED | SCORECARD | POINTS TABLEThey restricted Lucknow Super Giants to 169/7 and faltered in the chase to finish at 157/9 for a 12-run defeat. The Powerplay gave little idea of things to come, as Washington Sundar showed why his prowess in the first six overs is rated so highly. The 22-year-old, who battled injury and illness last year, set Lucknow back in his very first over. Williamson was spot on in getting the match-up right as Quinton de Kock's intended drive was neatly pouched by the Sunrisers' skipper. Evin Lewis was cramped for room and survived an umpire's call but Sundar (2/28) was not to be denied his man and when Manish Pandey succumbed cheaply against his former team, Lucknow were reduced to 36 for three in the powerplay.
IPL 2022 Live Score Updates Between Sunrisers and Super Giants: Lucknow Super Giants got off to a bad start as the side lost Quinton de Kock and Evin Lewis in the opening four overs and both wickets were taken by SunRisers Hyderabad spinner Washington Sundar. Then, Romario Shephard joined the wicket-taking spree as he dismissed Manish Pandey and LSG lost three wickets inside the first five overs. Earlier, Lucknow were asked to bat by SunRisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson in the 12th match of the IPL 2022 season at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. SunRisers did not make any changes to their playing XI while Lucknow brought in Jason Holder in place of Dushmantha Chameera. SunRisers will look to register their first win of the tournament when they step out to the field against Lucknow Super Giants. (LIVE SCORECARD)

Then batters disappointed for Hyderabad and only Aiden Markram and Washington Sundar were the bright spots with the bat. On the other hand, Lucknow chased 211 against CSK and they have momentum with them. (LIVE SCORECARD)
Mahendra Singh Dhoni becomes the second Indian cricketer after Rohit Sharma to play 350 T20 matches in the Chennai Super Kings versus Punjab Kings match being played at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday. Rohit Sharma leads the way with 372 T20 matches while MS Dhoni's former India and CSK teammate Suresh Raina has played 336 T20 matches. Out of the 350 T20 matches MS Dhoni has represented India in 98 T20 Internationals while he has played 222 T20 matches in the Indian Premier League for Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiants.
With their campaign back on track after a poor start, new entrants Lucknow Super Giants will rely on their batting prowess to get past Sunrisers Hyderabad in an Indian Premier League match on Tuesday. LSG did not have the best start to their debut season, losing by five wickets against fellow IPL debutants Gujarat Titans.
Gujarat Titans' pacer Mohammed Shami broke the back of Lucknow Super Giants' batting lineup in an IPL 2022 match earlier this week as he went on to take the wickets of KL Rahul, Quinton de Kock and Manish Pandey. Shami gave severe headaches to the opposition camp and it is no surprise that the pacer did the damage inside the powerplay overs. Since the 2019 IPL, Shami has been at his best inside the first six overs and has time and time again proven to be the match-winner for his side.
