"Didn't Get Credit...": Sunil Gavaskar's Explosive 'KKR' Remark On Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer scored his second half-century of IPL 2025 as Punjab Kings comfortably defeated Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday. The PBKS skipper remained unbeaten on 50 with the help of 3 fours and 4 sixes. It was a brilliant batting display from Shreyas and his knock earned him praises from both experts as well as fans. Legendary Indian cricket team batter Sunil Gavaskar was also a fan of Shreyas' batting and on commentary, he said that Shreyas did not get the credit he deserved for KKR's title winning campaign in 2024. Shreyas was the captain of the KKR side but was released after the season.

"Tension Auction Mein Khatam...": Punjab Kings' Brutally Punch Back At Rishabh Pant

Punjab Kings (PBKS) convincingly beat Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their IPL 2025 clash, with their captain Shreyas Iyer slamming a half-century. PBKS wasted no time taking to social media to celebrate Iyer and also took a subtle dig at LSG captain Rishabh Pant. After being bought for Rs 27 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction, Pant expressed relief about not being bought by Punjab Kings. Now, PBKS punched back at Pant with a post on social media, asserting how all of their worries got over in the auction itself.

"Each And Every Player...": Under-Fire Rishabh Pant's Blunt Take On Defeat Against PBKS

Skipper Rishabh Pant admitted that his team was "20 to 30 runs short" as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) succumbed to a crushing eight-wicket defeat at the hands of Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium here on Tuesday. LSG struggled to keep up with a rampant Punjab outfit that dictated terms in both bowling and batting. Pant's early dismissal in the power-play summed up LSG's issues, as PBKS' tactical brilliance and clinical execution left the home side reeling. Asked to bat first, LSG's innings never quite found its footing after an early jolt.

Prabhsimran powers Punjab to IPL win over Lucknow

LUCKNOW, India: Wicketkeeper-batsman Prabhsimran Singh scored an explosive 69 off 34 balls as Punjab Kings cruised to an eight-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday for their second win this IPL. Punjab chased down the target of 172 set by Lucknow with nearly four overs to spare, and captain Shreyas Iyer remained unbeaten on 52 off 30 balls. Playing their first home game of the season, Lucknow Super Giants started poorly, losing in-form opener Mitchell Marsh for a golden duck in the first over of the match to Arshdeep Singh. Marsh’s opening partner Aiden Markram hit Arshdeep for three boundaries in his next over but fell for 28 off 18 soon after to New Zealand pacer Lockie Ferguson, who was playing his first match for the Kings. Captain Rishabh Pant’s stint at the crease was short-lived getting out for just two runs from five balls, leaving Lucknow reeling at 35-3 just prior to the end of the powerplay. Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni steadied the innings with a 54-run partnership for the fourth wicket, but Pooran eventually fell to spinner Yuzvendra Chahal in the 12th over after an entertaining 44 off 30 balls. The attacking David Miller who came in next did not last long either, falling to fellow South African Marco Jansen for 19 off 18 deliveries. Badoni (41) and Abdul Samad (27), both of whom were dismissed by Arshdeep in the last over of the match, provided some late momentum to Lucknow, propelling them to a total of 171-7. In response, Punjab lost opener Priyansh Arya cheaply for eight runs off nine balls to spinner Digvesh Rathi in the third over. But Lucknow’s bowling attack only again tasted success in the 11th over when Prabhsimran fell, courtesy of a spectacular catch at the fence. By then,

LSG Spinner Digvesh Rathi Gives Fiery Send-Off To Priyansh Arya, Faces Sunil Gavaskar's Criticism

Lucknow Super Giants spinner Digvesh Rathi gave a fiery send-off to Punjab Kings opener Priyansh Arya during their IPL 2025 encounter on Tuesday. During the third over of the PBKS innings, Priyansh ended up miscuing a shot off Digvesh's bowling and the ball went high up in the air. Shardul Thakur moved across from mid-on and completed an easy catch to give LSG their first breakthrough. Rathi immediately ran towards the batter and made a gesture that signified that his name was added to his notebook of dismissals. The spinner was instantly called by the on-field umpire who had a brief chat with him.

"Rs 27 Crore Ka...": Rishabh Pant Disappoints For LSG Again In IPL 2025 And Internet Is Unforgiving

"Engage In Constructive Self-Criticism": Punjab Kings Pacer Arshdeep Singh's Mantra To Improve

Left-arm seamer Arshdeep Singh, who has evolved into a death-overs specialist since bursting on to the scene, has attributed his success to constructive self-criticism and steadily improving by half a percent after every game. The 26-year-old Arshdeep, who plays for Punjab Kings in the IPL, picked up the important wickets of Sai Sudharsan and Sherfane Rutherford in his team's 11-run victory over Gujarat Titans in their only match so far this season. On how he has evolved over the years, Arshdeep told JioHotstar: "The key is to improve by 1% to 1.5% after every game, every day — whether the performance was good or bad. I've always believed that the biggest room in the world is the room for improvement.
