Los Dallas Mavericks no sufrieron en Detroit. Salvo el tropiezo inesperado de Washington hace unos días, este equipo tiene algo que no tenía los últimos años. Regularidad y seguridad. Regularidad en la excelencia, o por lo menos en un nivel notable de juego, y seguridad dentro de cada partido para que situaciones adversas que se dan durante los 48 minutos, algo casi inevitable, no le saquen mentalmente de la pista. Dos cosas indispensables que cualquier equipo que quiere llegar lejos en las eliminatorias por el título necesita. Todo eso, además del crecimiento general en defensa, del nivel MVP de Luka Doncic, del paso adelante de casi todos los jugadores que tiene alrededor… Todo eso, decíamos, hace que los Mavs vayan a ser uno de los cuatro equipos del Oeste con ventaja de campo en la primera ronda de playoffs. El triunfo ante los Pistons les confirma que serán cuartos… Por lo menos.
