Several Australian cricketers had to return to the field after leaving prematurely following a successful DRS review from India on Day 3 of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final at The Oval on Friday. In a rare incident, the Australian cricketers decided to not wait for the third umpire's decision when Mohammed Siraj was given out LBW in the 68th over of the Indian innings. It was the final wicket for India and although the on-field umpire gave him out, the decision was ultimately reversed. The cricketers had to quickly come back to the field as boos rang all around the ground following the incident.

Ravindra Jadeja was the only player who provided Team India with some hope on a disappointing Day 2 of the World Test Championship against Australia at The Oval. Starting the day on a positive note with the bowlers making a remarkable comeback and bundling out Australia for 469, the Rohit Sharma-led side was reduced to 151/5 at stumps. Only Jadeja played a knock of 48 off 51 balls and helped India gain some momentum. He was dismissed by Nathan Lyon and the Indian fans were visibly disappointed.

The World Test Championship final between India and Australia is underway at the Oval, London. It started with India skipper Rohit Sharma winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Helped by centuries from Travis Head (163) and Steve Smith (121), Australia posted 469 runs on the board in their first innings. Mohammed Siraj claimed a four-wicket haul while Mohammed Shami and Shardul Thakur picked two wickets apiece. In reply, India had a poor start which eventually saw them losing six wickets with only 152 runs on the board.

KS Bharat was dismissed on the second ball of Day 3 of the World Test Championship (WTC) Final as Scott Boland claimed another wicket at The Oval on Friday. It was a length delivery from Boland which seamed back in and went right through Bharat's defenses to crash into the stumps. The ball did hit the stumps on the way but it did not change anything as Bharat was dismissed for 5 off 15 deliveries. It was the second wicket of the encounter for Boland who enjoyed healthy movement off the pitch.
