South Africa are making quite a statement at the Cricket World Cup, playing entertaining cricket and plundering tons of runs as they steamroll rival teams. As the Proteas take on the Netherlands in this hilly paradise on Tuesday, the perennial under-performers and 'chokers' have shown in the last two games their determination to go the distance in the tournament. Their 102-run win against Sri Lanka in the opener in New Delhi after putting a record 428/5 on the board, followed by 134-run victory against five-time champions Australia in Lucknow, have made South Africa the team to beat in the competition.

Lankans, on the other hand, are also yet to open their win account in the quadrennial tournament, having lost both of their matches so far. What's surprising from the results of the two teams so far is that Australia are yet to post a score of 200 or more in the tournament. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, have gone past 300 comfortably in their first two matches. (LIVE Scorecard)

LUCKNOW : Australia are struggling to read the wickets at the World Cup in India and are adapting to the conditions "on the fly", skipper Pat Cummins said on Sunday as the five-times champions look for their first win of the tournament.
Forced to treat every game as a final due to their awful start, skipper Pat Cummins on Sunday said Australia are fired up to perform against teams that they have done well against in the recent past. Australia were crushed by hosts India in their opener before stumbling to a 134-run defeat to South Africa on Thursday. The Men from Down Under find themselves in a precarious position to win at least six of their remaining seven games to make the semifinals. However, Cummins is not pressing the panic button just yet.
