Katie Ledecky didn’t swim the 200m freestyle at last month’s world championships, but her winning time at the U.S. Championships on Wednesday would have won the world title by nearly a half-second.
Commonwealth Games. It has been a happy bonhomie for the Indian duo since they decided to pair up once again after the Tokyo Olympics. They clicked instantly during their first outing together, by winning the World Table Tennis Contenders title in Budapest, Hungary. Thereafter, they made the semifinals of the Contenders event in Tunisia and the quarterfinals of the World Championships in Houston last year.

Organisers of the 2024 Paris Olympics unveiled "Games Wide Open" as their official slogan on Monday and announced prices for tickets fans can start to apply for from December. The slogan was released alongside a video promising the Olympics and Paralympics would be "faster", "higher" and "stronger" -- as well as "more inclusive, more brotherly, more beautiful." It is "an invitation to the entire world to come to experience new emotions, together. Our games are a promise of unprecedented experiences and powerful feelings," the organisers said.
