From Ravichandran Ashwin kissing Mohammed Shami's hand to Yuzvendra Chahal visiting the dressing room to congratulate players, emotions were running high in the dressing room after India sealed their place in the World Cup 2023 final after earning a hard-fought victory over New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium. Head coach Rahul Dravid was all smiles while meeting players after their triumph, in a video posted by BCCI, Dravid was seen embracing Kuldeep Yadav and Shubman Gill.
Looking to keep a clean sheet in the World Cup, India's coaching staff got down to business shortly after landing in Mumbai on Monday afternoon ahead of their mega semifinal against New Zealand. India head coach Rahul Dravid, batting coach Vikram Rathour, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey and fielding coach T Dilip made their way to the Wankhede Stadium to inspect the pitch, on which the home team and title favourites play against the rusty but formidable Kiwis on Wednesday.

India had already qualified for the semi-finals and with a massive total of 410 on the board, skipper Rohit decided to try out almost all of the part-time bowling options at his disposal. India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey was asked about the bowling show in a video posted by BCCI on social media and he sounded extremely pleased with the part-time bowlers' planning and execution on the field.
Star India all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is recovering from an ankle injury, is unlikely to return to action before the team's World Cup match against the Netherlands on November 12. Pandya had hurt his left ankle while fielding on his own bowling in the game against Bangladesh in Pune on October 19. He missed the games against New Zealand and England and is also set to miss the fixtures against Sri Lanka on Thursday and South Africa on November 5.
Ahead of the clash against Bangladesh, India bowling coach Paras Mhambrey admitted that leaving the star pacer Mohammed Shami out of the playing 11 is a "difficult decision" to make but they pick the team according to the wicket conditions. Rohit-led Team India will look to carry their winning form in the WC as they prepare to lock horns with Bangladesh at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Thursday.
