PHILADELPHIA — Phillies star Bryce Harper wouldn't exactly admit he was fueled by comments Atlanta Braves shortstop Orlando Arcia made about him after Game 2 of the teams' National League Division Series — but he certainly heard about them.
Bryce Harper answered Orlando Arcia's mockery with a mammoth three-run homer and a solo shot, glaring at the shortstop on each trot around the bases, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat Atlanta 10-2 in Game 3 of their NL Division Series on Wednesday night.
With the series tied at 1-1, the Philadelphia Phillies showed up to Game 3 of the NLDS against the Atlanta Braves in prime fashion.
After being held hitless into the sixth inning, Atlanta rallied for an improbable 5-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on two-run homers by Travis d'Arnaud and Austin Riley and a game-ending double play for the ages to even the NL Division Series at one win apiece Monday night.
