LONDON : Australia off-spinner Nathan Lyon will miss the remainder of the second test against England at Lord's after sustaining a calf strain while fielding on the second day on Thursday.
Since Brendon McCullum took over as England coach, the team has played an attractive and aggressive brand of cricket - popularly known as 'Bazball'. Sometimes that approach even has backfired, like in the first Test. England batted aggressively but also gifted wickets to the Aussies as they ultimately lost by two wickets. Australia's batter Steve Smith updating about the injury of Nathan Lyon, said that his injury "did not look good". Lyon sustained an injury in the 37th over on day two of the second Ashes Test at Lord's of the England innings when Lyon was seen limping out with the physio shortly after completing a spell. Chasing a ball to the fence, Lyon seemed in immediate discomfort and was quickly taken off the field. "It doesn't look ideal for the rest of the game. I'm not sure how he actually is, but if he is no good, it is obviously a big loss for us. Fingers crossed he is okay but it didn't look good obviously," Smith said in a media interaction.

Australia preyed on England's determination to stick to aggressive 'Bazball' cricket as several batsmen fell into a hooking trap during the second Test at Lord's on Thursday. England, enjoying the best batting conditions of the match, were well placed at 188-1 in reply to Australia's first innings 416, with the visitors' spin bowler, Nathan Lyon, off the field with a calf injury. But England slumped to 222-4 as Australia bowled bouncers with as many as four men deep on the legside -- a tactic that could scarcely have been more obvious had it been signalled in neon lights.
