ice hockey players wore medical face masks on Monday during their Beijing Winter Games match, which also started an hour late, in a bizarre chapter for the Games. Canada ran out 6-1 winners and their player Natalie Spooner said afterwards that the game had been delayed because their opponents had not got their results back from morning testing for Covid. The Russians were on the ice for the scheduled start time but their opponents at Wukesong Sports Centre were not initially there for their Group A showdown.
