PARIS: Paris Saint-Germain’s ultra fans group on Saturday said Qatari club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi should step down after the French giants’ Champions League elimination by Real Madrid. “Management resignation,” the Collectif Ultras Paris (CUP) group wrote on social media, calling for supporters to join them in “showing our dissatisfaction... without violence” during Sunday’s Ligue 1 match against Bordeaux.
El Colectivo Ultras París, una de las principales hinchadas organizadas del PSG, demandó este sábado la marcha de la actual dirección del club, encabezada por el catarí Nasser Al-Khelaifi, por la necesidad de «personas que sirvan al club y no se aprovechen de él».
La derrota del PSG en el Santiago Bernabéu ante el Real Madrid (3-1), que supuso la eliminación del equipo parisino de la Champions League en octavos de final, muy lejos de las rondas finales de la competición, es el síntoma de un mal que aflige al club francés desde que inicio este proyecto con vistas a ser campeón de Europa: por mucho que invierta, por mucho dinero que gaste en fichajes y salarios desorbitados, no consigue competir de forma regular con los viejos transatlánticos del fútbol.
