KEITH JACKSON: It's almost impossible to know what this team will do next and that flakiness alone must be boiling Barry Ferguson's blood. But these players do seem to get themselves up for Thursday nights in Europe. It might not be beyond them to take a draw home from Istanbul.
CRAIG SWAN: Clement hasn’t done himself any favours, but his players are mentally weak. Fair enough, he signed most of them, but you have to be better. This Rangers squad simply do not cope under any duress. It takes mentality as well as ability to play for the club.
KEITH JACKSON: Yes. And they had better. Brendan Rodgers can do without going to Aston Villa needing a win to achieve his target. Young Boys haven't coped with playing at this level and a fully charged Parkhead should blow them away.
Q.1 Were Celtic worthy winners of the Premier Sports Cup?
KEITH JACKSON: They’ll miss Ianis Hagi and Danilo on Thursday when they’ll need all hands on deck. A draw would represent a more than decent Europa League result. But it’s impossible to see past Celtic at Hampden on Sunday.
ANDY NEWPORT: They should certainly feel pretty confident about their chances. Celtic are a team and a club growing from strength to strength and the feel good factor will only soar if they can claim another huge European result.
KEITH JACKSON: No because he’s not that daft. Rodgers doesn't have to park the bus in Bergamo but he can tweak his team to make sure the Italians don’t find it so easy to play through. They must be more compact and robust in midfield in particular.
ANDY NEWPORT: They’ll need to get a replacement for Matt O’Riley in pronto, which is why Brendan Rodgers will be keen to wrap up at least one of Mateusz Bogusz and Arne Engels. Another senior centre-back should also be a priority.
