ZHANGJIAKOU, China :Walter Wallberg of Sweden soared to gold in the men's freestyle moguls event at the Beijing Olympics on Saturday, unseating favoured champion Mikael Kingsbury of Canada who took silver.
The Winter Olympics began in earnest on Saturday, with the first full day of action in Beijing.

Walter Wallberg of Sweden produced the run of his life to take the gold medal in the men's moguls and stun reigning champion Mikael Kingsbury. Wallberg, who has never won on the World Cup tour, put everything into the last run of the day and stole the gold from Canadian favourite Kingsbury. Ad/> Kingsbury, who has 71 World Cup wins, had to settle for silver.
