England Great Fumes Over DRS 'Shocker' That Cost Joe Root His Wicket, Deletes Post

Legendary England cricket team skipper Michael Vaughan took fresh aim at the Hawkeye technology over Joe Root's dismissal on Day 3 of the fourth Test match against India in Ranchi on Sunday. During the 17th over of England's second innings, Ashwin's delivery crashed into Root's pads and although the umpire was not convinced, skipper Rohit Sharma went for a review. The replay showed that the ball pitched on the leg-stump line and was going to hit the stumps. However, Vaughan was not convinced with the decision and he took to social media to express his disappointment. "That looked a shocker for the technology .. more than half the ball was outside leg stump yet it came up Red !!!!!! Hawkeye is having a average series .. It was an unbroken 42-run partnership between Dhruv Jurel (30) and Kuldeep Yadav (17) for the eighth wicket that saved India's blushes on the day.

"Common Sense Ball": Michael Vaughan Takes Veiled Dig At Bazball After Joe Root Century In 4th Test

Amid the ongoing 4th Test against India, former England captain Michael Vaughan took an indirect dig at the visitor's Bazball approach. England were rocked by debutant India pacer Akash Deep, who struck thrice in the first session to leave the Ben Stokes-led side reeling at 112/5 at Lunch on Day 1. However, Joe Root and Ben Foakes put on a crucial stand of 113 runs to help England cross the 300-run mark on Day 1. Root, who ended up with a century, came out to bat with a different strategy, alongside Foakes, after Lunch, taking his time out in the middle to lead England's recovery.
