SILVERSTONE, England: Mercedes drivers Lewis Hamilton and George Russell looked enviously at McLaren's new-found speed after losing out to their Woking rivals for the second race in a row on Sunday (Jul 9).
Team by team analysis of Sunday's British Grand Prix at Silverstone, the 10th race of the 22-round Formula One season (listed in championship order):
LONDON: Ons Jabeur survived her biggest test yet at Wimbledon this fortnight to storm into the second week and a highly-anticipated fourth round meeting with two-time champion Petra Kvitova.
SILVERSTONE, England : Sergio Perez lamented another tough afternoon as Red Bull team mate Max Verstappen racked up his sixth win in a row to power 99 points clear in the Formula One championship.
SILVERSTONE, England : McLaren's Lando Norris was fizzing after his first home British Grand Prix podium on Sunday but among the celebrations he felt for Australian team mate and nearly man Oscar Piastri.
SILVERSTONE, UK: On a day when Brad Pitt joined the Formula One grid to shoot his new movie, defending champion Max Verstappen was reduced to a cameo role in his own win with F1 fans gripped by the fight for second place. That fits a pattern this season of dominant wins for the Red Bull driver and increasingly hard-fought battles behind him as Mercedes, Ferrari, Aston Martin and now McLaren jostle to be the second-fastest team.
Max Verstappen delivered another crushing performance to win the British Grand Prix as Lando Norris held off Lewis Hamilton in a brilliant fight for second place.
