LONDON: Celtic manager Martin O’Neill revealed on Thursday he is feeling “much better” after being forced to miss last weekend’s win at Kilmarnock following a hospital procedure. O’Neill was away from the Celtic squad for several days as a result of the “small” procedure. The 74-year-old spent a night in hospital and was unable to attend the Scottish champions’ 5-1 victory over Kilmarnock on Sunday, although he did deliver a pre-match team-talk at the players’ hotel. LONDON: The destination of Scotland’s Premiership title will be decided at Parkhead on Saturday when Celtic need victory to become champions for the 56th time while Hearts will take the crown for the first time in 66 years and fifth in all if they win or draw. Those are the bald facts, but they barely hint at the weight of history hanging over the fixture or reveal any of the drama and fury generated by Wednesday’s nerve-shredding penultimate round of fixtures. Nobody other than Celtic or Rangers have won the league since Aberdeen in 1985 but, as every generation of Hearts fans knows, that domination could, and should, have started a year later. In 1986 Hearts went into the final day needing only a draw against Dundee to take the honors and were on course for that with seven minutes remaining — only to concede late goals in a 2-0 defeat. At the same time Celtic hammered St.
EDINBURGH, May 13 : Celtic's Kelechi Iheanacho scored a controversial penalty with the last kick of the game to secure a 3-2 win at Motherwell on Wednesday, sending the Scottish Premiership title race to a final-day showdown against leaders Heart of Midlothian.
Kasper Schmeichel’s every touch was booed by a section of Celtic fans in the aftermath of conceding two soft goals in a 4-1 Europa League defeat by Stuttgart.
