Punjab Kings Script Unique Record During IPL 2025 Clash vs Rajasthan Royals

Punjab Kings (PBKS) batters achieved a unique feat during their Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) on Sunday, as their middle-order scored the most runs by any team in a single innings in the history of the competition. PBKS achieved this feat as after collapsing to 34/3 following their decision to bat first, PBKS' middle-order batters delivered plenty of fireworks to take their team past the 200-run mark. A 67-run partnership between skipper Shreyas Iyer (30 in 25 balls, with five fours) and Nehal Wadhera took the team past 100-run mark.

BCCI Pays Special Tribute To Indian Armed Forces Ahead Of Rajasthan Royals vs Punjab Kings IPL 2025 Game. Video Goes Viral

Both Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings players lined up for the Indian national anthem to pay tribute to the Indian armed forces ahead of their IPL 2025 clash at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, on Sunday. The RR-PBKS clash is the first proper match to happen after the resumption of the IPL 2025 on Saturday, following a one-week suspension due to the cross-border tensions with Pakistan. The Saturday clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders was washed out due to rain in Bengaluru without a toss, fading away the excitement of the IPL restart.

No Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah As Babar Azam Picks His World T20 XI; Two Indians Included

Pakistan's star batter Babar Azam picked his World XI in the T20 format and it was a surprise that he didn't include the likes of Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah, two of India's greatest-ever players in the format. While Bumrah is simply an all-format great bowler, Kohli is equally good with his batting skills. However, it was interesting to see that both of them could not find a place in Babar's team. As he had to pick a maximum of two players from one country, the Pakistan star went ahead with Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav while naming players from India in his XI.

"This Is 'Indian' Premier League": Shreyas Iyer's Strong Message With Uncertainty Over Foreigners In IPL Restart

The IPL 2025 is scheduled to restart on Saturday with Royal Challengers Bengaluru taking on Kolkata Knight Riders at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Saturday. The next day the tournament was suspended for a week. But after ceasefire between India and Pakistan was announced, it was decided that IPL 2025 would resume from May 17.
